Default Reduce the cost of Dwarven Ale.

I mean seriously, 200 gold for a pint?

What kind of game is this when a good drink costs more than a rune?

Sheesh, I'm gonna go broke before I even get sufficiently plastered....in a game...drinking pixels...

*looks around*

Fix the prices!

And discounts for Dwarves in the update that adds races!

Lol...interesting...

I think it's so high priced so the little kiddies can't get tanked so easily and laugh, draw the attention of mommies everywhere and get GW the M rating :P

Yes! You do sit a lot...it's funny, because it looks more like your character stumbles because of the O_o screen.

Wow I just downed 5 ales and I must say that's freakin awesome.

But the effects should last longer. I wanna do entire missions while drunk, not just run around town for a couple of seconds.

The Dwarven Ale costs 200 gold per for a reason - to act as a money sink, so gold will be destroyed at a rate comparable to which gold is created.

200 is fine. I bought a few for myself, and a few for my guild mates, and it's a fun way to spend that extra bit of gold that you don't need.

I hope they add more fun little novelty items in the future. Perhaps something everyone can enjoy - currently, the Dwarven Ale is a visual effect that only I can see.. unless there's more if you drink more, but I haven't tried it. I only had three, and my screen became all wobbly lol.

FFXI had fireworks, which lasted for maybe 10 seconds or less, but those in near proximity could also see them. Maybe create items that have a temporary effect that others can see -- kind of like how the CE characters have a Divine Aura that can be seen by EVERYONE as they use an emote, and not just by the user.

Agreed, and what a money sink it is!

Mostly Level 20's will be buying it to get their characters drunk and have fun with it. I think it's a great idea and the price may fluctuate, but I'm all for leaving it 200 gold for a while and see how the economy does.

I love it.

I guess, but 200 gold is pocket change compared to the 100 platinum you can actually hold.

Anyway, if the price gets lowered, it defeats the purpose of why it was implemented in the first place.

If it costs 200g, I will buy 5

If it costs 50g, I will buy 20

I will pay the same amount no matter what. What only matters is the number I get...

Also, if it costs less, poorer players will be getting hammered as well as all of those "1337 rich players".

Well, Dwarven Ale is a rare brew (at least, rarely shared with humans). What we need are some cheaper drinks for us common gutter drunks without a lot of cash. You know, the online equivalent of a Bud...

Oh, and we need some extremely expensive wine for the mesmers and other pretentious bastards.
